TAMAN NUSA

"I Highly recommend this amazing park. Get away from the shops and be immersed in Indonesian culture. You need minimum 2 hours to see the various cultures represented. The park contains displays and reconstructed traditional houses from 60'different regions of Indonesia. All are full size and showcase the various house designs from different islands. The traditional dance and music performances together with craft displays provide a great perspective on the variety that comprises Indonesian cultures. The staff are all very welcoming. Our guide was a fount of knowledge."

Taman Nusa Cultural Park

Taman Nusa Cultural Park is a cultural park that aims to offer a comprehensive information on the cultures of Indonesia’s various ethnic groups in an attractive and interactive way, while enjoying the natural beauty of Bali. Its mission is to provide a conservation, didactic and recreative means for both domestic and foreign visitors to accurately understand the depiction of Indonesia. The park is located in the village of Sidan Gianyar, not so far from Klungkung.
Their aim is to keep the cultures that are on the Indonesian islands in a recreational way. In this way, visitors can meet all of Indonesia. The whole area is 15 hectares. You also make a journey through time, beginning in prehistory and ending in the future Indonesia.

When you start the tour through the Taman Nusa Park, you'll start in prehistory. From there you go to the bronze time. Then the times of the kings with a piece of Borobudur. After that you come to the beautiful cultural village with its selection of Indonesian houses.
With more than 60 traditional houses, of which some are over hundreds of years old, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the modest village life of the various groups in the archipelago. This is supported by dance shows and demonstrations of various crafts. You'll travel through Papoa, Timor, Java, Sumatra, Moluccas, Flores, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Lombok and the unforgettable Bali.
The beautiful collection of traditional houses in the park from the archipelago of Indonesia is unique. The tour through the park gives an insight into Indonesia. You learn about the daily life of the locals over the centuries.

In the cultural village

At Taman Nusa Park has are several restaurants (one of them is a western restaurant) and other food and beverage outlets. There are two stages, where regular dance shows are presented. There is also an exhibition space, where art and tradition from Indonesia are displayed and there's also a souvenir shop.
The duration of the park:
From Denpasar: ± 30 minutes
From Sanur: ± 30 minutes
From Kuta: ± 1 hour
From Nusa Dua/Jimbaran: ± 1,5 hour
