LEMBAR
"After arrival at the port of Lembar we go directly to the hotel in Senggigi with the ready minibus. After some delay along the way, (we had a flat tire for the second time) we arrived in Senggigi after about an hour, where we will be accommodated in the beautiful Pendok Senggigi in the coming days. That turned out to be a good hotel with beautiful bungalows and a swimming pool. After we showered and changed, we caught up with the whole group Senggigi. At the Super-de-luxe Senggigi Beach Hotel."

Lembar
Lembar is the port on Lombok, where the ferries arrive from Bali. It is a real port town, where apart from the passengers of Bali, containers are also landed. With the growth of tourism, the demand for products from elsewhere has also increased. There are two beautiful shopping centers in the capital Mataram, where one can admire the supplied electronics. The distance from the port in Lembar to Mataram is 22 kilometers. You can take a bemo, taxi or bus to the capital.
When you arrive at the port of Lembar: there is a police checkpoint upon arrival at the port. If you come with a car, they ask for an international driving license and the registration of the car. The international driving license also applies to an engine. Photocopies are not always tolerated. For vehicles that are rented, one is smoother. Make sure you always carry one with a motor or scooter. When you arrive at the port of Lembar: there is a police checkpoint upon arrival at the port. Also on arrival at the port of Lembar you will immediately see "porter" approaching you. They want to take your luggage off your hands. Do not hand over your luggage! First agree on a price you want to pay before placing your hands on your luggage. It is best to avoid this service completely, if possible, because it can lead to complications compared to the prices.
You can take a bemo from the port of Lembar to Mataram. The rate must be approximately Rp 15,000 for the Ampenan-Mataram-Cakranegara-Sweta area. A good option is to book ahead with Perama or another tourist shuttle company. Alternatively, taxis are available at the terminal or just outside the gates, all day and all night. Typical rates are Rp 25,000 to Cakranegara, Rp 40,000-45,000 for Sengiggi. |

Lembar
From the port of Lembar you have to negotiate the price to Kuta in advance, or you can insist that the taxi driver uses a meter. The competition is fierce and carriers often place your luggage in a taxi before the price is settled. Assertive behavior can ensure that you choose the taxi and the price that suits you. The taxi fare from Lembar to Kuta should be around Rp 250,000. Perama operates shuttle buses from Lembar to Mataram, Kuta and Tetebatu. If you have booked in advance for two or more passengers, the price is approximately Rp 125,000 per person.
If you leave from Lombok, chances are that someone approaches you and offers the ticket to Bali for the same or cheaper than the current rate. If a security check is taking place, you may have to pay again and get a lot of confusion. Just buy the ticket at the official counter.

Arrival at Lembar
From a travel blog:
"The last week we have been in many different places.
From the De Gilli islands we first sailed to Lombok with a small fishing boat and then drove to Lembar by bus (the port on Lombok). From there we went on the ferry to Bali. Once in Bali we took a bus to Sanur where we stayed for another day.
A whole trip in a short time but it was definitely worth it. The Gilli islands were really beautiful. White beaches and a very clear blue sea, beautiful! The first day we
snorkelled and we saw a total of 4 large turtles, Mighty beautiful."
