Dream Museum Zone

"A friend and I visited here during our stay in Legian. What a super fun place, even for two grown women! The staff were really great at directing people how to take the photos properly (e.g. where to stand, examples of what to do), and they were very willing to take photos for you using your own camera or phone. I shared photos from here on Facebook, and so many people commented on (1) how realistic many of them looked and (2) how much they wish there was a place like this at home in the U.S. where they live! A great way to spend your out-of-the-sun time in Bali!"

Dream Museum Zone (DMZ), is unique museum because of the three dimensional art that you can take photo and make it look real. The museum features is a rich array of masterfully painted artworks that each served as interactive background of three-dimensional photography. The museum features a rich array of masterfully painted artworks that each serves as interactive backdrops for illusory three-dimensional photography. There are an impressive total of 120 unique artworks in 14 different categories spread over three levels.
The museum is located on Jalan Nakula, near the intersection of Jalan Dewi Sri and Sunset Road, which comes from Kuta.

All exhibitions in DMZ are designed and produced with thorough analysis and scientific calculation by an art director, storywritter and 3D sculpture production team from local artists and artists from South Korea. The illusion effects in different sizes - painted with paint and well lit - are absolutely beautiful. Entering the Dream Museum Zone brings you to various dreamy details, from Venice to Egypt, from Indonesia to the Amazon. You can easily put yourself in the most beautiful conceivable positions, alone or together, to capture a perfect picture.
Among the diverse themes at Dream Museum Zone to put your creativity to the test are the Renaissance and Luminescence pavilions. The Renaissance pavilion comprises parodies of famous paintings, such as Mona Lisa carrying a fruit basket, or Van Gogh with shaving foam.

Pose aside and ‘hold’ a seemingly displaced fruit, or the lather brush to Van Gogh’s beard. Some animal-themed paintings are quite amusing, as you hose down a zebra to wash away its stripes, milk a cow, or ‘narrowly escape’ a menacing shark attack.

If you don’t know how to ride a board, you can come close to it and strike a pose on a snowboard gliding off a cliff, or tandem ride on a surfboard with arms apart before crashing waves. The Luminescence pavilion features a wonderful play of UV lighting against the murals, with areas painted in certain colours that bring out a subtle glow. Most of these feature underwater scenes. There are several sets in the expansive collection that depict full-size landmarks and ruins, such as the Prambanan Temple or ‘Candi Prambanan’ complete with the floors depicting a lotus pond, or Bali's own famous Tanah Lot sea temple. The museum also promotes its galleries as a great option for unique pre-wedding photos

Tripods are great if you want to have everyone in some of the frames, and there are marks on the floor that indicate the best spot to place your tripod, or from where to take the picture for the best angle. The team of staff are also helpful in suggesting the best pose to experiment with, and may even lend a hand to take the shot. A refreshment corner serves bubble teas and snacks, and a souvenir shop is onsite where you can also have your zany shots printed on T-shirts, as well as a range of merchandise. Don’t forget to try their pineapple cake, also sold as great titbits to bring back home.

For adult visitors, do not miss our 18+ Area that'll make your pulse speeding and your cheeks blushed!

"Such a fun place! My kids had a great time taking 3 D photos with the artworks here.
The staff are all very helpful to either take the photo for you, or advise how to get the best shots!
Don't forget to take your camera, we inly had our iPhones, which still was great, but a real digital camera would have been better.

Hint for the DMZ- try laminating a A4 sized demo photo and putting it on the ground next to the arrows for the photo position. The small demo photos on the walls are too small, and sometimes get in the way of our shots!"
