BEJI GUWANG CANYON
"Found this canyon by accident on the internet. Dropped off by our regular driver in Bali who indicated that they would not go along, but that we will get a local guide. Now afterwards we understand why. Swimwear and swimming shoes are a must. The guides do it barefoot, but this is less suitable for visitors. The guide takes a watertight bag with you for a camera of telephone. You can leave the rest of the things in a locker. At the start of the canyon, the water sank into our shoes, when we were immediately caused by the water. from the water you climb further into the canyon along the rocks."
 The Canyon
The Canyon of Beji Guwang is just 14 km north of the towns of Denpasar, Sanur and 15 km from Ubud. It is a hidden gorge with a mysterious stream. This gap is formed naturally by the stream of the river that flows through it.
The trip through Canyon of Beji Guwang is 700 meters long and very challenging, because it is relatively difficult. However, the area is very spectacular. This place is also considered sacred by the surrounding villages. Here are some facts about the Beji Guwang Hidden Canyon.
The Beji Guwang Hidden Canyon area is still considered a saint. Close to this river and gorge is a Beji temple with a water source. As the number of tourist visits is increasing, the local village government has decided to manage this location by building sufficient tourist facilities.
You can walk here and take a trip along the river through the gorge. When you come here for the first time, it's best to hire a guide. The tour is very challenging and experienced guides are needed to guide you through the obstacles and hazards that you may encounter here. So you need a guide.
A potential danger that you may encounter at this location is flooding. This usually happens after heavy rainfall. If the gap is under water, the circumstances are very dangerous, you cannot go through the gap anymore. This can happen during the rainy season.
If you go through the gorge, you will have to climb over slippery rocks. In various parts of the river it can be anhydrous deep. Wear athletic shoes or water shoes to ensure that your feet are safe. You must also have a condition, because the route is very demanding. This trip is not suitable for the elderly and young children, because the trip is simply too difficult for them.
 The river
Because this place is still considered sacred by the surrounding population, you must wear appropriate clothing during your visit. Shorts and t-shirts are a good choice. Make sure you can protect your camera or mobile against water, as this can get wet.

 Colorful
From a report:
"With a few big steps from one rock to the other, ourselves with the help of a rope, we came deeper and deeper into the canyon. Wow, this was cool. it was not busy so our guide took all the time to photograph us a couple of times. After two hours we were back and were allowed to use the showers, towels and soap. The canyon is not entirely without risk, but definitely worth it. The guides are very knowledgeable and help you where they can. Our thirteen year old daughter thought it was great. I think, but this is personal, that it is not suitable for children under ten."
